Linda Lou Roberts, 74, of Kansas City, KS passed away on August 5, 2013 at Providence Place, Kansas City, Kansas surrounded by her children. She was born on September 19, 1938 in Marysville, KS to Wilfred and Mary Cohorst. She graduated from Marysville High School in 1956. She graduated from St. Margaret's School of Nursing in 1959. She entered into marriage with Charles E. Roberts, Jr. on November 28, 1959. Linda was a private surgical nurse for Dr. Paul Carpenter for 35 years until his retirement. She was then a surgical nurse for Heart of America SurgiCenter for 13 years.

Linda was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles E. Roberts Jr.; her parents, Wilfred & Mary Cohorst; and her brother, Jerry Cohorst.

Linda is survived by her son Charles "Chuck" (Audrey) Roberts of Memphis, MO; and daughter Donna Shumway of Ottawa, KS; grandchildren; Courtney Rinehart and Nick DeVaul, Amanda Rinehart, Skylar Rinehart, Leah Scott, Lance (Lauren) Smith and Loren Roberts; great-grandchildren; Benjamin Scott, Maeghan Scott, Brennan Scott, Alexis DeVaul and Autumn DeVaul; siblings, Karen (Dean) Manson, Sandra (Ralph) Byrd, Roberta (Richard) Anthony, Jeanna (Paul) Cummings, Rosemary Cohorst; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services for Linda will be held on Friday August 9, 2013 at Christ the King 3027 N. 54th St., Kansas City, KS 66104 at 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. and a visitation will start at 6 p.m.

The family requests in lieu of flowers to please send memorial contributions to the Relay for Life 1100 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64105.
