THELMA MARIE (TOOTSIE) RIEKEBERG

Thelma Marie (Tootsie) Riekeberg, age 80, of Baring, MO, passed away Friday, August 30, 2013, in Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon, MO.
She was born April 23, 1933, in Knox County, MO the daughter of Harley William and Anna Faye Smith Kiesow. She was united in marriage to Carl J. Riekeberg in 1957, at Memphis, MO and he preceded her in death on July 19, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Vincent Rourke.
Surviving are four children Derald Riekeberg and wife Toni of Macon, MO, Ricky Riekeberg and wife Karla of Kirksville, MO, Rhonda Easley and friend David Webb of Kirksville, MO, Rocky Riekeberg and wife Christy of Macon, MO, one sister Carloyn Shoop of Eldon, MO, nine grandchildren, Chris, Amber and Dustin Riekeberg, Mandy Magistro and husband B.J., Danielle Riekeberg, Josh Kincaid, Chasity Webb, Zachary Riekeberg, Eli Riekeberg, eight great-grandchildren, Cole Riekeberg, Scarlett Kaden, Chrisjen, Morgan and Destiny Riekeberg, Conair Kincaid, Harper and Griffin Magistro, two step-grandchildren Taylor and Blain and several nieces and nephews. Thelma received her education in Baring, MO, she was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband resided in the Baring community. She was employed several years at the Knox County Nursing Home.
Thelma was a member of the Baring Christian Church and Cyril A. Graham American Legion Women's Auxiliary. She was an avid Bingo player, and enjoyed cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Dr. Dave Leslie officiated the services. Burial was in the Greensburg Cemetery. Music will be provided by Carol Hayes, organist and Toni Riekeberg, soloist singing "The Old Rugged Cross" and a recorded selection "In The Garden" by Randy Travis.
Casket bearers were Chris Riekeberg, Dustin Riekeberg, Cole Riekeberg, Eli Riekeberg, Josh Kincaid and Lance Kaden. Honorary bearers were Zachary Riekeberg and Christian Riekeberg.
Visitation was held Wednesday, September 4, 2013, from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northeast Missouri and may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
