Tigers Mash Milam 56-11 to Return to .500

Scotland County got back to the .500 mark on Friday night in Milan, mashing an undermanned Wildcats squad 56-11 to pick up the Tri-Rivers Conference win.

Lucas Howard poured in eight points in the opening frame and Jacob Blessing added a three-point play as the Tigers pulled ahead 15-5.

SCR-I blanked Milan in the second period. Three-pointers by Blessing and Brice Cowell helped extend the advantage to 27-5 at the intermission.

A 19-2 run in the third period insured a running clock for the game's final eight minutes. Cordie Kigar and Howard each had six points in the run.

Scotland County still put up 10 points down the stretch despite the limited time. Blessing closed out a strong game with a pair of field goals as SCR-I rolled to the win.

Scotland County improved to 9-9 on the season. Howard finished with 18 points to lead all scorers. Blessing added 13 points and Kigar and Kyler Burkhiser each finished with eight points.
