Tigers Claim Top Honors at SC Junior High Relays

Austin Day sprints to the finish line as he claimed victory in the 100-meter dash at the Scotland County junior high relays held April 29th in Memphis.

Scoring points in 13 of the 14 events on the day helped Scotland County amass a winning point total in Monday's Scotland County Junior High Relays. The Tigers took top honors in three events en route to the winning 108 point score. Milan was runner-up on the day with 101 team points.

Putnam County finished third on the afternoon with 81 points followed by Clark County (74), Knox County (31), North Shelby (20), Canton (13), and Schuyler County (6).

Tristan Kice took top honors in the 100-meter hurdles. The Tigers 4x200 meter relay team also claimed first place in a winning time of 1:55.54.

Austin Day crossed the finish line first in the 100-meter dash in a time of 13.08 seconds. teammate Riley Kliethermes was third.

Ryan Slaughter finished second in the 400-meter dash and also was runner-up in the triple jump.

Will Pickerell finished second in the shot put. He was third in the long jump.

Ben Giberson finished third in both the high jump and the 200-meter dash. Gage Dodge was sixth in the 200-meter dash.

Ian See finished third in the discus and Kice brought home second place in the 1,600-meter run.

The Tigers 4x100 relay team finished second and SCR-I was third in the 4x400 relay.
