Lady Tigers Finish Second at Tri-Rivers Conference Track Meet

The Scotland County Lady Tigers track team finished second at the Tri-Rivers Conference Track meet held April 30th at Putnam County High School in Unionville.

The Lady Tigers amassed 121 team points to finish behind Putnam County's team total of 162. Knox County was third with 112 points followed by Milan with 99 points, North Shelby with 73 points and Schuyler County with 61 points.

Randi Slaughter had a big points day for SCR-I. The sophomore crossed the finish line first in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:09.97. She also claimed top honors in the long jump, clearing 15' 5.25" before finishing third in the triple jump.

Leah Terrill played a big role in the high team total as well. The sophomore bested the field in the 3,200 meter run. She finished second in the 800-meter run and was third in the 1,600 -meter run. Teammate Renay Friendshuh was third in the 800-meter run and was fourth in the 1,600 meter and 3,200 meter runs.

The duo teamed up with Shai'lyn Brush and Kylee Johnston to take first place in the 4x800-meter relay. The Lady Tigers 4x400 relay team of Karissa Adams, Brush, Slaughter and Johnston took first place.

Brush finished third in the 400-meter dash. Johnston was fourth in the 200-meter dash with Taylor Cooper taking seventh.

Adams finished fifth in the 100-meter hurdles and took seventh place in the 300-meter hurdles.

Miranda Holland took fourth place in the shot put. She also was eighth in the 100-meter dash. Bulen finished sixth in the high jump.

The 4x100 relay team of Adams, Cooper, Holland and Bulen took sixth place, The 4x200 relay team of Holland, Cooper, Bulen and Johnston was fifth.
