Lady Tigers Finish Fifth at SC Junior High Relays

The junior high girls track team finished in fifth place at the Scotland County Relays held Monday, April 29th in Memphis.

Schuyler County took home the top honors by the narrowest of margins, besting Knox County by a single point. The Rams posted 90 points to hold off the Eagles (89) and Putnam County (85 points). Clark County finished fourth with 62 points followed by SCR-I with 51 points. The Clark County (white) team picked up 11 points for sixth place followed by North Shelby (10) and Milan (3).

The two top teams each won five events and Putnam County won the other four.

Scotland County earned second place in the 4x200 meter relay.

Maddie Brassfield was third in the 800-meter run and finished fourth in the long jump.

Anna Monroe finished third in the 1,600 meter run and was fifth in the high jump.

Abi Feeney took third in the long jump and was fourth in the 400-meter dash.

Chelsea Wood earned fourth in the shot put and Lacey Perrelles was sixth in the 200-meter dash.

SCR-I finished fourth in the 4x400 relay and third in the 4 x100 relay.
