Annual Ladies Day Tourney Draws 10 Team to TRGC

The annual Ladies' Day Golf Tournament at Timber Ridge Golf Course drew 10 teams to the Memphis course on Saturday, July 20th.

The four-golfer scramble event was won by the team of Lauby, Stigall, Nash and Williams of Keokuk, IA. The ladies won a card-off to break a tie with the Bloomfield, IA squad of Taylor, Piper, Utt and Aeshielman. Both teams finished the day with scores of 61.

The A flight title went to the team of Gosney, Job, Rutherrford and Roberts from Ewing with a score of 70. That was one stroke better than the Memphis team of Grant, Hinds, Cook and Tripp.

In the B flight, the team of Eggleston, Frazier, Dunn and Swearingen took top honors with a 72. Second place went to the team of Bradshaw, Zook, Dewey and Bradshaw from Lancaster.

High score honors for the day went to the Memphis team of Harrison, Labertew, Riebel and Newman with a score of 75.

The event was sponsored by Scotland County Lanes, Shelly B's The Alibi, Memphis Lumber, Golden Furrow, Larry's Barber Shop, Mark Holt Construction, J's Foods, Pepsi, U.S. Bank, Stu's Custom Crew, Exchange Bank, Laddie Briscoe, Scotland County Pharmacy, Goob Gordy, Party Shack, Community Bank of Memphis, Memphis Rentals, Scotland County Hospital and Gas & More.
